One of the priorities of the City Council of San Jose, California includes making an ordinance to limit payday loan lending businesses. As of now, the feasibility study is 20% completed and the estimated completion is on March 2012. Other plans include alcohol sales and process streamlining, smoking limitations, tree removal ordinance and zoning ordinance and standard, among others.
