Another requirement is that you are not allowed to be loaned more than $500 at one time.  This is due to the interest that accumulates.  They want to give you a fair chance of paying it back.  And the interest rate is what you will need to pay attention to because it is based on how much you borrow.

For instance, your interest rate will be a minimum of a $5 fee and either $15 per one hundred dollars borrowed or a $5 fee and an additional 15%, whichever is less.   As an example, lets say you borrow $100 for the 14 day duration.  Then your finance charge would only be $20 because it is the lesser of the two charges.  There are a lot of people that could use that $100 at a moment's notice and not have to worry with the $20 fee involved.  It is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that comes with it.

There are also two renewal periods, or rollovers allowed by state law.  This would help someone who is expecting to receive the money to repay the debt, but has run into unexpected delays.  You just have to make sure that you intend on repaying it because the laws are very strict on non-compliance.   You can be hit with fees and up to $700 in court costs.
