If you find yourself in a bit of a financial pinch with no one to help you out then you may want to consider a payday loan. You can use this program to get back on track, but be careful: even though they are legal, Michigan does not have specific guidelines governing payday loans.

One of the requirements that the state demands is that the lender is licensed with the state. Since there is a state wide database of licensed operators you will be able to find them easily. You will want to make sure that they are before conducting business with them.  

If you decide that you need to take out one of these loans you should know w few details about them. In Michigan the most you can borrow is $600, but of course you can borrow less if you do not need this much.

When using one of these loans you will want to know exactly what is required of you and when it is required. Make sure that your contract states exactly when you need to have the money re-payed. The maximum time limit is 31 days, but there are extension options available under certain criteria. The guidelines are extensive so it is better to make arrangements to repay within the deadline. You also need to be aware that there are no rollovers permitted.

Your finance charges are based on how much you borrow so it is better all the way around if you only take out what you need. Your fees are as follows: the first $100 is 15%, the 2nd is 14%, the 3rd is 13%, the 4th is 12%, 5th is 11% and the 6th is 11% plus a fee.

Payday loans are good when you need help and there is nowhere else to turn. But just remember to be cautious and make arrangements to get yourself back on track as soon as possible.
